Local Rules
1. Out of Bounds (Rule 27 applies)
a) Marked by white posts
b) Beyond the boundaries of the course
c) Beyond the left and right sides of the 1st hole
d) Over the left hand side of the 2nd hole
e) Over the white posts on the right hand side of the 3rd Hole between the 1st and 2nd fairways
f) The practice ground on the right hand side of the 15th hole
2. Water Hazards Rule 26 applies
All ditches and water courses and ponds marked with red posts are lateral water hazards. Those marked with yellow posts are water hazards.
3. Movable Obstructions Rule 24-1 applies
Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions
4. Immovable Obstructions Rule 24-2 applies
a) Seats, wire screens, ball cleaning consoles, bells and ormamental walls on tees
b) Refreshment Shed at 10th Hole
c) The pumping station at holes 5 and 9
d) Waterpoint covers and sprinkler heads
e) Artificial paths and roadways
f) Staked trees interfering with the player's stance or intended line of swing. The ball may be lifted, without penalty, and dropped in accordance with Rule 24-2b. The ball may be cleaned when so lifted.
g) Tyre marks and ruts left by tractors
h) The netting on the 14th (yellow) tee
5. Dyke
In the interests of safey, the retrival of golf balls from the dyke crossing the 7th and 15th fairways is prohibited.
6. Overhead Wires.
If a ball strikes the power line crossing at the 1st hole then the player must disregard that stroke and must play another ball, without penalty, as close as possible to the spot from which the original ball was played.
7. Distance Measuring Devices Rule 14-3
For all play at this course a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. If during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance measuring device that is designated to guage or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play(e.g. gradient, wind speed, temperature etc.), the player is in breach of rule14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification. regardless of whether such a function is actually used.
8. Aeration Holes
Through the Green: - A ball that comes to rest in an aeration hole may be marked, and lifted, cleaned. and dropped without penalty, as near as possible to the point where it lay but not nearer the hole. The ball when dropped must first strike a part of the course 'through the green'
On the Putting Green : - A ball that comes to restin or on an aeration hole may be marked and placed at the nearest spot, not nearer the hole, that avoids the situation,
