Stroke Association Golf Clinics

Six golf clinics for members of local groups from the Stroke Association are taking place at Padeswood & Buckley Golf Club and the Bannel Driving Range. In the first clinic, guests were given a lesson in putting from Pro Tony Davies and then, aided and abetted by members of the Club, put that lesson to use on the practice green. These sessions help with balance and co-ordination and in re-building confidence.

Champions of Wales

Adam Partington and Ben Chamberlain won the Wales Golf Victory Shield at Mold Golf Club on Sunday 12th September. The format is men's foursomes knockout off scratch handicap and is open to any golf club in Wales. Adam and Ben beat Swansea Bay in the semi-finals and Radyr in the final. A brilliant achievement. Congratulations to you both.

Foggy the Dragon

Our course has a striking new addition. Chris and Stuart Fogerty have generously commissioned a chainsaw sculpture of a Welsh red dragon, to be known as Foggy the Dragon. Standing some 18ft high, it was sculpted from the ash tree which overhung the 11th tee by Rob Dalton of Daltonwood Chainsaw Carving.
